Junior Clerk

We would like to invite a highly motivated and personable Junior Clerk to join us. This is an opportunity for the right caliber person to grow with a new business.

The Candidate:

This role is suited to experienced candidates who  are looking for career progression and/or an individual interested in working in the legal sector who has previous experience of working within a barristers’ chambers or solicitors’ firm. Your primary role will be to acquire new business from both traditional and public access clients. You need an established network as we expect you to bring in business from the start.

You need to:

  • Interact with members of Chambers, solicitors and clients appropriately and with confidence;
  • Be willing to learn and propose good working practices;
  • Have the desire to progress;
  • Be able to demonstrate a good standard of written and spoken English;
  • Be numerate and computer literate;
  • Have integrity and an appreciation for confidentiality.

 Ancillary duties include:

  • Lodging skeleton arguments and other Court documents
  • Delivering papers to and from Court when required
  • Fixing Court hearings in all level of tribunals, telephone conferences and meetings
  • Dealing with enquiries by telephone or written correspondence
  • Diary Management
  • Providing general support to the members
